They always have to sell us some pill, telling us to take it everyday for a week or whatever it may be? I guess what I'm really getting at is why don't they ever promote natural healing, why does it always have to take the form of a pill bought over the counter. Is there really no better solution that would empower our natural healing abilities than chemically concocted medicine? Especially when the world knows of about 1000+ species of plants or herbs that when consumed backs up our immune system army to do the job (some of them will be discussed later on in this post).
Perhaps it's because the hospital needs to maintain profits, or rather, the pharmaceutical industries who are funding most hospitals and medical schools, needs to maintain profits. But is that the right priority for a health institution to adopt, being a place where sick patients come and look for a way to become healthy again? This post will look at some of the pharmaceutical industry's money maker pills, and also their lobbying habits: paying off politicians, medschools, hospitals and "doctors" to promote their drugs for them and not really looking after the welfare of the people.
A study in 2008 by two York University researchers estimates the U.S. pharmaceutical industry spends almost twice as much on marketing than it does on research and development, contrary to the industry’s claims. I find that extremely odd because really their products should be doing the marketing by itself but no, they have to spend twice as much on advertising so that the people will buy their products that really aren't very effective based on rudimentary research. Why are there so many god damn side effects!?? Are we taking these drugs to get better? Because it certainly seems like it's making it worse!
These drug cartels not only make shitty medicine but they also groom today's doctors to completely rely on their products to prescribe to patients. Doctors today know so much about which drugs do what to the body but most of them have very basic knowledge about proper nutrition or what one could do whether its diet, exercise, meditation to prevent illnesses. It's almost like they want you to be sick because they have the treatment and they want to sell it to you. Here's an article showing how influenced medical schools where students study to become doctors are by the funding of the pharmaceutical industry: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=4696316
The big issue with pharmaceutical drugs in my opinion, is that they deal only with suppressing the illness after it has occured. There is never a pharmaceutical produced as a preventative medicine. Sure, there are vaccines but that's whole different issue. So really, hospitals and doctors today are blindly giving their patients medication simply because they have been taught to do that
So when can one do, as a person, to take control of their health, not rely on doctors to take care of your health but be your own doctor?
I came across a Book that listed different species of herbs and plants that are fantastic preventative medicine, or healing. Download a copy and take care of your own health readers, take responsibility for your body.
